About the design

Submitted by slaterock on April 13, 2004

An Illustrator design. The colors could be inverted as well, with a lighter print color, and darker colored tee.

garban

different colors.

grafik

On Dark Blue with the illustration a sort of grey/dark silver color this would be perfect.

I think I like the colors chosen, it is a shirt that wouldn't draw a lot of attention, but still gets its point across. I agree that dark blue would look good as well, but I think I like the current design best.

DeathCookie

the image is great. i'd pick different, darker colors though.

maze

good...

contrariwise

dark on light is better than light on dark, imo

aeroplane

The best one I've seen here today, congratulations for not falling back on a stupid pun or a ridiculously overdone theme; a good design, with a good presentation.

tristan

i am liking this, i wonder though if you could break out of the rectangle maybe activate the negative space better? nice stuff though.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Tristan, you're right. that would be a way to go, but I wanted something that was similair to a horizontal rectangle. I might mess with breaking that shape later though. Keep voting!!!!!!!

nothingiscute

your style is good if not slightly used.
the machine i'm on right now is crap, but i can't seem to zoom...
which is a problem if nobody can cause the design makes me want to see it up close.

seattlebound

Seattle is awesome! I am going to live there next year. It is a must have shirt!

Stalebread

Rad shirt, only complaint is i cant tell if the picture is a guy or girl, maybe make it a little more obvious. Otherwise i love it.

IHAUL

hey, nice t. it'd be cool to throw a contrasting halftone in somewhere's though.

one8_2zeros

i like it!

some things to think about though: if you're trying to make that tree and the pipework underneath it line up, it doesn't look like they do.. and it looks like they want to.. either make it more obvious that they don't, or make them line up better.

and i agree that maybe just a single line.. or a bit of a shape breaking out of the rectangle would REALLY set this off on a great path.

well, my intentions were never to have the pipes and tree line up, but maybe i should have thought about that. Again, thanks all for voting, as well as the comments!

IanPatrick

it's a good design, but it feels like a department of parks and rec logo for some metropolitan city.

sid

nice piece, on pale, rockin. reminds me of my mom's old album covers. happier times

nitrojane

dude, i think that this is a great shirt. the design style really conveys what is funky at the moment, and yet there's a classic kinda retro feeling about it too, something that in 20 years childers would wear and think they were cool and alternative and chic.

When i think seattle i automatically think Cobain, which is who the piccy reminds me of. But that's just my interpretation - i could easily be wrong.

But yeah, good work. I'd buy it - especially in the bluey colour.

hey, thanks for the comment nitrojane. Now that you say that, i definitely see the cobainedness in the face. Awesome awesome. Thanks for voting everyone!

The person looks a little funny, a little out of place. Take that out and it'd be pretty cool.

bergcity

I love the design. Are you selling these shirts?
