On sand, army green, or brown.



I drew this design with ink on standard printing paper before remaking it with digital media. I decided to do my design that way so that the outline would have an imperfect thickness and texture to it. The flat colours were sort of inspired by the 60's time period, as well as some older illustration colouring styles.



Since some seem to think that the blocks in the background are cards, I'll just add that they're not supposed to be cards, more like sheets of paper, or just random shapes with less detail as a background support. I left them pretty plain so that the overall feeling wouldn't be too messy.



I'm pretty sure this design fits the colour limit. I counted 8 in all, so I hope I'm not crazy or anything... LOL You can view an alternate 3 colour version here:

I love everything except the "R" in the top right teardrop. Seems out of place. Otherwise its awesome.

There's a slight improvement in the t-shirt design version (shown in the preview here), but it's almost the same, so it might help everyone to get a better feel for the design.

I really like this. I like the 8 color a lot better, I think the blue makes it more interesting. I like it best on the sand, but all 3 options look great!

Paintbrush? If you're talking about an object IN the design, it's abstract, so nothing is really supposed to be something in particular except for the flowers, but if you're talking about the line art, I originally drew it with an inky pilot pen. Long live pilot pens!
