I really like it, but the edges are really harsh. I think it would really have an extra wow factor if you kept the creme shape of the owl the same, but continued the pattern a little outside the edges of the owl. Overall a great design though!

I didn't make the pattern?? umm...yes I did. I created it in illustrator. it took me a while to do, so please don't say I didn't design my own work...

* just to clarify...I did use a pattern from old wallpaper, but re-created it in illustrator....simply silhouetting over it and adding the color I wanted *

let me re-pharse again....yes, I did use that image as a reference, but I didn't just cut and paste it for my design. I brought it into illustrator and re-did it myself. I'm saying I "created" it because I did re-do it. No, I didn't make it up in my head, but I would never just take someone else's work and say it was my own. Besides, its just a photo of old wallpaper. I really don't think I committed any serious crime here :P

anyways, the cool part of the design is the pattern and the colors.

I dont mean to be cruel... But just because you put it into illustator an used an hour or two to sketch it up in vectors, I really wouldn't call it your work.
What i like about it is the colors, the composition of the pattern & the overall feel to it... and that is things you didn't do... |
