FRICKINAWESOME on Dec 19 '08 I don't like most polar bear shirts, but i dig this one's concept. I've never even thought of saving polar bears so much until Threadless got me into their plight! Now i just wanna save too many Threadless shirts from having bad polar bear designs, but i agree with MM about a pointer in there.

Y'all fucking someone's design as if you had the most brilliant ideas there is. Let other designer submit what they want and stop dissing them. If you can't give a constructive criticism then it's better not comment at all. There are a lot of cute monsters, zombies, draculas, tea pots, faces with shits, shape with feet and arms but you don't criticize them so just leave other designers alone. Bwahargh!

I like this and that you made it different from the other polar bear designs, i.e. thank you for not submitting yet another polar bear on an iceberg.
I agree with the suggestion about adding a mouse pointer. |

ginetteginette on Dec 19 '08 although i do smoke crack regularly it's not the reason for my comment, which i do appologize for because your polar bear design is actually pretty original compared to most others but it's hard not to have the reaction i did after voting on what felt like the 3rd polar bear extinction design in a row.
that said, the 'delete' computer idea is a good one, i just wish this was about something different - personally, even just a different animal would suffice. polar bears really seem like the animal of the moment, i'm sure you understand what i mean. |

maybe you could have a little delete button with the mouse pointer on it and then the message saying it cannot be undone separate from the delete? cuz computers dont really say that. lol. also maybe to avoid the whold polar bears on threadless thing, you could just have the earth and then have a little trash can icon thing that says full. like you're trying to delete the trash can? lol hope this helps

smusi on Dec 19 '08 why is everyone being such a jerk? i'm not necessarily a fan of this t-shirt but, mreisel, submit whatever you want. my last design had a deer in it (an animal which the threadless skeptics apparently don't like seeing anymore) but it did just fine. the only thing that people should be mildly upset about is when someone submits some scribbles they made in ms paint when the rest of us spend a lot of time on our work or try to get threadless to print their "brand" name. take all comments with a grain of salt.

It's commentors like BrobAZ that make me wish there was a "report" button for comments. They should have to be responsible for making hurtful remarks (if useless and unintelligent remarks are hurtful to the artist)...
I really like this polar bear; I think it's original But I'm joining the mouse pointer bandwagon-- I think that would be a really great addition to an already well-rendered design. |

No politician is causing global warming and you need to DROP IT and focus on what this particular place on the site is about; a designer's sub. Great design, Polar Bears are fine as long as they are designed correctly, and this one was designed great. I agree that the pixellation helps the shirt. |

All the banter is really unneccessary guys.. wow..lol. I love this concept. :) I just joined Threadless so I'm not sure what all the reptitive polar bear design comments are all about. But the shirt should be judged on it's meaning, not whether other polars were submitted.

Not to actually comment about the design, but I think that the shading on the feet is a little awkward. I do like that it's pixellated, however, and I think that the translucency of the ! warning sign is brilliant.
