I think there could be a little more done with the fact to make it more Cardinal-y... while the markings are quite on, it does seem like the eyes could be more eye-like, and maybe the beak up a tad so we can see it taper better.
Even there, though, this is some great stuff. |

I was just sitting here looking at it thinking, "if the bird had a cast on his arm this would make more sense to me"... You're still getting high marks from me however.
