very cool illa, but much, much too large on the shirt. make it much smaller and i'd rock it.

i like, not much to criticize except maybe smaller? not sure about the hearts unless it signifies our poilcy of liberation through war instead of diplomacy.....but most won't work anyways because of the fanatical viewpoint of killing the infidels (non-believers)

It's funny to have Saddam criticize your war shirt is it not?

To add some more description to see if it helps. I purposefully made it large, because I feel that printing it in a slightly darker ink than the shirt, will show its presence but would hardly make it jump out or be obnoxious. Also, im not sure if the satire is as clear as it is to me, but I'm pretty anti-war, and I included the hearts as a nod to past 'love-bomb' designs, and as a sign of optomism that maybe some conflicts can be resolved without violence.

I can't force any buddy to like it, but I am also not stubborn on the design, suggestions are welcome...

Why is the plain drop'n the hearts so old compared to the moden fighting machines below it. The illustration is phat!

This is a 5. and an "I'd buy it." I like how the ink makes it so you can go big but not loud. -"FIghting a war for peace is like f*cking for virgninty."

I like this better than the other bush shirt, i ESPECIALLY like the size. it is interesting how it brings your eye across the bottom of the shirt. i have very little interest in politics and i would wear this.

I think it's big but positioned well on the shirt. The composition is A+.

love it love it love it, great message, good graphics, sweet colours, good composition.

only criticizm, maybe play with the flame out our friend's mouth there, and the hearts,

they look a little too solid vector for a pixel picture based design. even if they're just

more faded to fit in more, it would be a tich better.

other than that man, wicked

too big! it would actually look better if you use the size of the detail thats actually on the screen. half of your design will get cut off on the sides when it's wore. its a waste of work if you can't see it

Just to repeat myself. It is that big purposefully, and I have actually made this shirt for myself, and it looks awesome. Its one of those things that becomes much more interesting to see stretched around the body, causing even the person wearing it to look around, lift up there arms and show it off. I have had more than one person walk up to me and ask where I got it.

I don't really have the resources or time to make hundreds of shirts, and try to get people to buy them, thats why I am hoping the threadless users will like it and vote it into print. sorry for all the responses, I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you...

Love it. Want it.

It doesnt need to be smaller, unless its too big for threadless specifications.

I think there are better ways to satirize war monger leaders rather than actually print that leader's face on your design, try to be a little bit more abstract and clever, honestly this looks like a cartoon that I might have seeb in A section of the la times.
kickatruckx
kickatruckx on Apr 09 '04
not to knock your point totally, but I think this is a pretty abstract satire, of war and presidency in general...

if you look at the previous design on this page, i think you will see a much more concrete ridicule of our current president. The face in this picture may be part of the design but GW isnt really the main focus, I titles it warMachine because the president is almost like the head to a giant machine of violence and hate, which he might not neccesarily be in control of....

i stand my ground with this one...

Perfect, and Bush is oblique enough for the shirt to be a strong anti-war statement even he loses the election (let's cross our fingers). Love...Well, everything, but the hearts seal the deal. I'd buy the shit out of this shirt.
