nice i like this the red gives it a great accent and cathces the attention.

I like the design. Very cool! but the story is a lot like the story of james in Tim Burtons book The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories. James story is this "Unwisely, Santa Offered a teddy bear to James, unaware that he had been mauled by a grizzly earlier that year." Maybe its just me who see the resemblance. I still like your design a lot.

biticol on Nov 26 '08 The look like is about the general theme of the design. Characters, development, are way different. I'll never deny I admire Tim Burton's work and it's very probable in themes even in style there's something of his great talent that influenced me... as many other artists did.
Lots of designs work in references, this one for example talks about the childhood of a famous movie serial killer... but I think it doesn't unlegitimate their creativeness and originality. I hope I was clear in my explanations (I'm Spanish). Thanks for comments. |

Yeah, I was wondering why this wasn't in the Horror comp, seems very horror-themed. The red catches my attention, definitely and it's a cute idea.

FRICKINAWESOME on Nov 28 '08 Adorable rendering of Leatherface, quite possibly the most adorable there will ever be. The joke I don't think is very reminscent of the above example given, and I really like the rendering of the swiss knife as well. The colors are pitch perfect for this tale of horror yet annoyance.
