I've been checking winning designs for over a year at Threadless, I don't recall seeing that one and it wasn't the inspiration for this. I was playing around with the skylines and it looked like music, on the critique one of the members also agreed and encouraged that I develop the idea... which I did.

well, it looks like you bought a vector pack and just colored the skylines. it's "ok" just lacks originality.

As someone who occasionally dabbles in the world of composing and mixing music, I TOTALLY dig this. The colours look great on a black shirt, and it's a pretty awesome concept over all. Pity you didn't make the skylines yourself, but I think you've used them creatively enough to make up for it.
