Excellent concept and those badges are sweet! I don't like how the sash fades out though...other than that, awesome.

I think they've done one before, but the content and tone were very different.

The text should TOTALLY be on the tee, it pretty much makes the shirt, or moreso at least.

Love the zombie pins. Great job!

And I like it AS IS. It's better that ppl have to guess at the badges; that it isn't so spelled out.

Friggin sweet. How do you earn more badges? Agree with the idea that the sash print should go around. $5

I wonder if they decided to print it if I could have them wrap it around the back?

Yep I can't get over that this was already a winning design. Regardless of its tone, I doubt they'll print a similar concept again.
TGWA
   TGWA on Nov 16 '08
This wasn't already a winning design. That's not really a fair statement. This is dramatically different design, not just in tone, but in content, humor, style, everything.

iceunderthestars on Nov 17 '08
Same as NinjaLlama said--I watched and rated this (5 of course!) a few days ago, but I just now noticed the little descriptions next to the badges aren't on the actual shirt. I think it's kind of a must, and the text would make the shirt a little less plain, too, for those who like busier designs. But yeah, either way, I'm totally buying this shirt if it wins. ^^

Like this way better than the merit badge one :) I think it would be good to have the text, just not in that cliche font.

TEXT
TGWA
   TGWA on Nov 18 '08
I didn't think to put the text on the shirt because it would kill the effect of wearing a sash. If I was to put text on the actual shirt, perhaps a simple font with diagram lines pointing to the badges? I think with the text it would have to be more of a diagram rather than a tromp l'oeil effect. Visually I'd prefer it without text, but people seem to prefer it...
Regina_Mortis
Regina_Mortis on Nov 18 '08
I like it without the text... it's a great conversation starter!!!
"what do those badges mean?"
"well I got this one for staking a vampire, this one's for Chainsaw and ax safety... this one's for sealing a gate to hell (that was a tough one)........."
TGWA
   TGWA on Nov 18 '08
That was kind of my thought as well, Regina. I liked the idea that they had meaning behind them that you knew and could explain to people, just like real merit badges.

rockemsockemrobots on Nov 19 '08
the only probably would be in memorizing the witty meanings of all the badges. nothing makes you feel lamer than someone asking what they mean and you stand there like...uhhh?

maybe put the text (cheat sheet) on the sleeve or back...or...just anywhere but the front right next to the badges.
Nodz
Nodz on Nov 19 '08
I love it. and I do not think there should be text. Yes it would be sweet if the sash could wrap around the back!! And maybe if people keep insisting on text... put it on the back side of the sash. that way people behind you can read it, and be all confused untill they see the front. but regardless, i like the no text conversation starter style. 5!

Nice score, TG!

If you get any rumblings that this might go to print, it might be worth it to suggest the wrap-around idea... lord knows they can do it. As for the text, I've seen some shirts with a tiny guide on the sleeve or very bottom corner of the shirt (though none I can recall the title of offhand), so that could be an alternate idea, to make it less obvious.

As to those who did want text, you could easily make shit up... "this was for sewer alligator safety, this one was for getting struck by lightning by a vengeful god..."

yeah man, keep the text out, that way i can tell people what they mean, also make it wrap and not fade out. very different and funnier than the other one people are talking about. I'd buy this one in a second!! Well Done, So Fun!!
