I get what you're saying sold91, but I feel like the "giant reptiles swallowing people whole" genre of horror is often under represented. Sure, not all of those movies are true horror (jurassic park, the original godzilla) and some aren't very good horror (Lake Placid, Anaconda), but it is definitely a horrific and oft represented subject in popular culture (even a great X-Files episode about one).
So sure, its not dracula sucking blood, or zombies chowing brains, but they are no more scary than the prospect of being eating alive by some overgrown lizard, and they deserve more respect. |
