About my design

Inspired by the real life horror of the working week of "salarymen" in Japan, trudging home at obscene hours, not hesitating to climb over each others corpses to escape the train when it's time to get off... you get the idea.

I have the supreme pleasure of now being a "salaryman" in Tokyo, so I can attest to the horror firsthand.

Actually I can't really get the concept from what i see..but the character design and the colors are great and that's why I would definitely wear it:)

I really like your explanation and what you're trying to depict here... it's hard to put it all together from the image though... are the heads briefcases?

I'd like people to interpret it however they like based on my explanation of the horror theme. I think people relate to it better if they interpret it based on what they think it is.

Basically it's a combination of real life horror of zombie like features of overly-tired workers in Japan, and a dash of Japanese cute ugly character style. Apart from that, the specifics are up to each persons interpretation.

Let's call it Artistic Vagueness ;-)

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions! I thought about using a variety of characters, but I decided against it to keep with the "faceless workers lost in a huge crowd" look.

I totally get it. even without your explanation it is clear. I like the term "salaryman" too! yeah! because when you are a salaryman, you don't even feel like a person anymore, just like your head is a briefcase and that is all you are good for! but you should loosen their ties to make them look more distressed.
