This was a concept I had about 3 years ago for a 3D animated short film I wanted to make. I never finished the animation, but I always wanted to share this idea. I like to think of time as a tree that branches out like a fractal. We are only on the tip of one branch and there are so many other dimensions out there. What could have been, and what would have been. I hope you like it.

i like how the sand falls straight down with gravity instead of parallel to the tree itself. sweet idea overall.

I really think this would be interesting on a green tee (a green that is different than the grass or leaves).

Yeah, I didn't think about this on green but that's a good idea. I'm gonna have to play around with it.

Hey everyone! I wanted to include a link here to an animatic I made a couple years ago. I originally wanted to make this idea into a 3D animated short. I probably should have posted this earlier in the voting but whatever, here's the link to the animatic at youtube: Time Tree Animatic

Don't care so much for the shirt. Idea is ok though. Trees actually do grow out in fractal patterns.

Of course trees grow in fractal patterns. I never said they don't. It would just be extremely rare to see one grow out like this one.
