My only critique would be that maybe it'll be more interesting to see unique characters of geishas and birds that would make up the whole flow of the design. The challenge is to figure out how to retain or achieve the right composition by strategically placing the heavy color (grey) versus the variation of lines and the light color.
Good job either way. Keep it up chong! |

looks nice, but the geishas all look the same..... maybe if they were a little more unique..... but overall, nice job!!!

Your design has a nice flow, and I like the different elements that make it up, but I have a problem with the identical geishas - if there were really 1000 I could understand some duplication, but with only three very prominent, it would be nice if they looked different from each other. I personally think yellow and grey is an extremely unexciting colour combination, especially on white, but YMMV.

i enjoy the overall composition, but I think it would really be awesome if the geishas weren't so cartoony, and they weren't simply copy paste, (goes for the birds too). This design would totally rock my socks if the changes were made.
and for whoever said that this demoralizes Japanese culture, I respectfully suggest that you get over yourself, sir. |

Great illustration and use of accent color. I would agree with the copy and paste comments, though. I'd love to see more!

Like the arrangement and different weights on the linework, but like some above, I think all that white space on a white background doesn't do it any huge favours. Also, the identical nature of the women doesn't encourage the eye to linger.

I like the overlapping images, more variation between the images of the women and hummingbirds would be nice. Overall very nice though. I like the line it creates.

Id say make the geshias all unique looking and play with some color. Their outfits were always very elaborate and beautiful with color
