Nicely rendered! but a more delicate color might uphold the sophistication better. Then again, I understand having favorites.

what was your inspiration? this is very misterious and good i would wear it to a long trip so when i get to point b stare at it and remember the trip

I think a softer color would bring it out more, but blacks tend to print pretty solid on bold colors too. Inspiration for this was a project I had over the summer in my Advertising class, had to do a project about cultures around the world. Italy was one of the countries I chose to focus on: hence the awesome mask. :) |

Whoa - weird photo comparison (the stock image) -
I think I used the same (or almost the same - Venetian masks are all pretty similar) mask as reference when I was drawing this over the summer. I went to a local costume shop (Acme Costumes in Pooler, GA) and sketched a ton of masks. I really love that photo though, thanks for linking it. :) |
