I havent seen too many illustrations on threadless exploring other cultures, I wonder why.....

soooo many designs here take inspirations from different cultures (i was honestly curious when i read your comment and went through most of the shop and there are honestly tons and tons of them) they might seem hard to spot because they're inspired designs and not illustrations of real life in other cultures because frankly that's dull.

it's a great thing though to want to bring light to other places of the world but you might find it more worthwhile to experiment with symbols, textures, patterns and making it your own rather then what you did here.

Haha, ginette how can you tell someone what they should get their inspiration from. At least there is some sort of inspiration here, unlike some of your bland designs.

Oh the design is kick-ass. Sorry, annienaseem, someone's insightful comments (note:sarcasm) distracted me...

i like this one a lot. i think it is fantastic how the shadow resembles the roots and branches of the tree. very harmonic and tranquil.

Very interesting... It seems like the person on the tshirt is very deep in thought waiting under the tree... I like it... I think it just depends what colour t-shirt you get it printed on as I know I would never buy the pink one- it doesn't look good with orange... but I would definately get the t-shirt in another colour such as yellow... Good job...
I wonder-...would you be able to print this design on a tall vase? I would be interested in that as I think it would look really nice with the tree branches wrapped around the vase... Anyways- this is definately a 5! :)

I think having the ground at the bottom works well on this one, Annie. Good job, good job

Motif04 hit the nail on the head there!!! I would disregard our ginettes comment as this certain person ALWAYS criticizes other peoples work. There is constructive criticism, then there's her comments. I like this shirt! Simply for the fact it doesn't have a cat on it!!! Good work!!!

I agree with Zaytony....what is ginette's problem?....i dont blame her for being dissatisfied with the quality of her own work... but i've always seen her dump on others.... her comments are just bitter, not in the least constructive. This design is great... i am susprised to hear that ginette actually went thru most of the shop because of ur comment annienaseem. It seems like she just needed to disprove what u said. And Ginette, it's awfully sad that you think "illustrations of real life in other cultures is dull" - i tihnk badly drawn cats are pretty dull! they're cliche, and you know what, ur definitely not doing anything different....

Love this design, and sorry annienaseem - i dont mean to argue on here... but sometimes u cant help but say something.

All that aside, $5!!!!!

btw - if ur way of getting attention and getting noticed is to say meaningless crap about other peoples work ...... then perhaps its best to just not respond to ur BS.

I like it too. Maybe simplify the shadows and jewelry a bit?

I must admit i'm ill-educated where the masai are concerned, but I like this.
It really reminds me of some of the better tees I see in camden... but better...

wow nice and detailed :)
But I think it needs more of a story... something the masai is looking at or something..

I want her to be looking for something - maybe there's a maasai warrior heading his heard home in the background - a tone on tone perhaps. it has a very beautiful quality

Not too bad... go with the gray or the yellow shirt. A faint background landscape would make this perfect. However, I love the job you did on the figure; well drawn.

I love the motion in both the tree and the figure. Very nice. The colors are strong. I really like it on the tan/gray shirt.

Don't listen to ginetteginette. All her stuff is exactly the same with the same color palette and the same subject matter.

I personally love this design, and it's nice to see something more worldly and realistic.

Ginette has a good point - also the design doesn't seem to hold it's own on the shirt - the top left comes off as a little empty

Oooh, I like it on the yellow. The only thing I don't dig is the emptiness off to the left, but I do love the design itself. Striking.
