i gotta give this artist credit for just confusing the hell out of everyone. i hate the shirt but i give it a 4 just for being so odd.

My thought was that the shoe is shown under the insect as a kind of after-thought to how people feel about creepy crawlies. I have a brother who'll take off his shoe to obliterate bugs - he's that scared.
If it had been a spider and there was a rolled up newspaper behind it I would think the same. The fact that it's a girls shoe suggestes that they are steriotypically more afraid of this kind of thing. Or maybe girls who were this type of shoe feel vulnerable about insects touching their exposed toes. maybe the grasshopper has a shoe fettish. |

While I think you did a great job here... I fail to see the connection between the shoe and grasshopper... it's nice work... but I wouldn't wear it.

the design can possibly be changed to exptrapolate the idea of the fear of bugs! which i have i might add, thus i'd never wear this shirt |
