i think the city in the background muddles this. it would be nice to see just the still life doing a still life. i think the bottom half speaks for itself.

I like the still life doing the still life, too. Center it? What is the point of the city? (it's beautifully done, but I don't get the connection either)

The still life that is being drawn could be anything really. I chose a cityscape because I went to school in an urban envrionment, and wanted this piece to reflect that. Thanks for your comments.

i like the drawing, and i like the description, but put both together and i prefer the description.
the pic itself actually looked like procrastination to me, which i'm sure any designer is familiar with :P |

I agree with goobie son, I also prefer the bottom half of this design, the top half feels unnecessary.
