I really, really love the design and the shirt colour you chose, but the words kind of ruin it for me.

I agree, get rid of the words. The ship is beautiful without the text. Maybe also move the placement downwards the bottom of the shirt and towards the side so that it slightly wraps around the back?

If you wanna keep the words, make them a bit more subtle and give each word a sail to be stitched on, you have just the right amount!
