What I like the most is that the perspective is dead on and that you actually used perspective where most would cop out and do this as a 2-d design. Good Job.

To reply to a few questions/comments:
- I didn't know Don Bluth did it in Anastasia, but I'll definitely check it out the next time I watch it; maybe my subconscious remembered it! - Color-wise: I wanted to keep it pretty simple. I tried the white lineart and dark blue lineart and my test group unanimously chose the white lineart. It looks much better, trust me. - Freud actually DOES have a facial expression in this, it's just that it isn't easily discernible this small. - Other colors would be a good idea. I liked brown best, though. |

Great idea, like the linework and perspective, but would have preferred a little more colour.

Great concept, needs some work with the colours to really make it pop (at the very least more contrast between the banana and the shirt if you want to keep it a two colour) but I think with a little work it's be totally print worthy.

I have no dea what a freudian is, but everyone else seems to get it and love it.
And I must say on the basis of drawing, this one is great, love the shading. |

This is a quote (from whom, I do not know): "A Freudian slip is when you say one thing and mean a mother."
In other words, it's when you are talking and the wrong word slips out; it has to do with psychology and the subconscious. But this design is a visual play-on-words. |

Freudian Slip is in reality was called Parapraxi by Freud, but I don't think that would look funny on a shirt.

Thanks for your advice on my design Melissa! To return the favour, i really like the fine strokes in the shading on the illustration, its pristine and looks awesome, although maybe a little expression on the face and im thinking it could work on maybe grey or a navy blue?

my initial reaction to this piece was a good ol' LOL... very nice. you did a fantastic job on the shading of his suit, I like the hatching very much.
