Mix it up... so this was a sketch i did, inked it up, threw it photo shop and voila! I was gonna put some links up to the originals but i dont really know how to do that so... anyway it's pretty straightforward, a cool looking design by hand and some basic color theory, mix some of the colors, get some new ones and make it look good... uh, right. so here it is, I had fun with it (not as much fun as if I had that tablet to work with!) and I think it came out as a pretty damn cool shirt so let me know what you think. Well, it's late for the scoring, but I'll give you some feedback.

Frankly, I just don't get it. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's technically fine, but nothing jumps out. There's no amazing technical proficiency to stand alone, and I don't see a joke or meaning to the content.

That doesn't make it bad, but it explains why it's not as interested as it could be.

If you look, the majority of successful entries (contest or normal) have either some amazing technical proficiency, or have a great joke/meaning.

But that's my opinion. Don't get dissuaded, and keep working on submissions!

You don't always have to get it... it's clothing, you wear it cause you like the way it looks, but i see what your saying, and i do appreciate the feedback.

While I was too late to score, I think that the style is too heavy handed. If there is going to be a concept (which in the description makes it seem like it is about 'basic color theory') it needs to be an interesting one. This does not strike me as an interesting concept.

Concept aside, the execution seems heavy handed. The grey lines around the black seem unnecessary. Using three primary colors together is a bold move in any circumstance and it does not seem to work well here.

Subjectively, I am not a fan of the style. That is why things get voted off quickly. A lot of people will vote based only on a gut reaction. "Do I like it?" Those people don't feel the need to comment. That is why most comments end up being positive. Those are the people that either took the time, or the people strongly opposed.
