I designed this using ActionScript 3. The idea is to generate a given number of shapes one after the other to create the tentacles.

This one has 25000 shapes. Everytime a shape is created, the script randomly decides decides if it stays regular or if it adds others shapes next to it.

As to why the squid is flying... No clue, just thought it was cool.

I think it would look perfect without the segmented legs. Smooth those out, and you're golden, i'd buy it.

Thanks for the comment. I tried it before though and without the lines, it looks like a big blue stain. Not the effect I'm looking for. I was looking for complexity. Your comment is very appreciated though! Thanks :)

I think the segments make it. I really like this.

A little scritchy around the bottom of the squid, but very pretty overall. 4

Yeah, I think this needs a stronger silhouette. It's a brilliant design, and i'd hate to see it not get printed because it's a little crowded and messy. Maybe clean up some of the more graphic-designy elements around the squid's body.

more overall graphic content seems muddled, love the style and idea buts its chaotic composition and chaotic placement of details makes if lost among its own image if you didnt explain it wouldnt be recognizable, so far my favorite peice
