Hey, sorry I did give any details. First time goofy submition.

Story is, I was watching the olympics on tv and seeing the chinese win all those gold medals left me with a bad/strange feeling. I felt that chinese athletes were pressured to win.

Anyways, that was the image I had in my head. Had to get it out.

And while i agree with ginette that this isn't a good shirt design, I do agree with this shirt's general statement of how China differs from most other countries in the world in that they take children from very young ages away from their families and into a sort of athlete incubation program that produces gold medalists and has very little room for any kind of life or misstep.

It's a good illustration, buy it's really not the sort of thing that works on a shirt. I can see it's a subject youre obviously serious about, but when I see it on a tshirt I presume it's meant to be funny.

The point I'm trying to get throught with this design is that I felt that chinese athletes are pressured way to much and that if they failed at the onlympics, they would be treated badly.

That, in my point of view is not being racist. Expressing my opnion about politics of a given country is not being racist. Again, in my point of view.

As for jealousy, well, I'm not an athelete and far from being one. Also, I'm canadian and I'm pretty happy that most of our top athletes ended up being 4th or less at the olympics.

Again, if this IS racism, mods please delete the desing, it was not my intention here. I don't mean to start a flame war.

And if you dislike the t-shirt, or the idea, fell free to vote against it. My feelings wont be hurt.

the design isn't something i think i would wear but i don't think that it's racist. Remember the little girl singing the opening for the Olympics? they dubbed her voice without telling her or her family because she wasn't a good enough singer. the little girl who did sing couldn't appear because she didn't have good enough teeth. Not that other countries don't pull shenanigans like that as well.
