The design is cool. I think the text looks 'wrong' somehow, though. sorry I can't be more specific. maybe the smooth and same thickness of the lines that make up the text and the speech bubble?

Yeah it's a strong enough image not to need the speech bubble.

The alternate corners layout is great. The colors are bold and support the energy of the design. I agree that the you could lose the speech bubble.

I agree with the others, this is a strong design without the speech bubble, the white doesn't flow with the rest of it. the fact that the face is screaming is clear without the text.
