This idea of a pencil dreaming of something more has been done many times.

FRICKINAWESOME on Sep 05 '08 The pencil could use a bit of pencil texture, and the paper could use less of the stoney texture than its drawing thought bubble has. And maybe lighten up the connecting bubbles. Cute idea.
