mezo on Sep 05 '08 Being a huge MJ (pre-white guy/kiddie toucher) fan, I think the idea is so rad. While the spacing and grid-like design look clean, the tiny size of each figure once printed on the tee concerns me. I think if it were to be printed and on a 3D body and on a fabric prone to movement and wrinkling competing with the scale will take away from the impact. The colors are really rad, though, what color tee is that? Army? 3

BaronVonMonkey on Sep 08 '08 I think the concept is great, and the artwork is great, but I think it's lost when it's printed so tiny- I don't think it's ideal for a shirt. Just my view though, and luckily plenty of people disagree!

fatheed on Sep 08 '08 Hey guys - thanks for all the rad comments so far. In response to the couple of people who are concerned about the size on the tee - I was actually keen to avoid overstating the idea. I liked the subtlety of a grid of these small figures performing a dance routine rather than a ostentatious Michael Jackson/zombie tribute.
In my opinion the size of the figures is ok and the spaces between them are necessary. There are 83 individually drawn figures in sections of routine that fit almost perfectly (and coincidentally) into rows of 12. Click this link to see the ACTUAL SIZE ON A MENS TEE and you'll see that the figures aren't tiny at all. I think they are just the right size, given the level of detail. If it get picked for print, then tightening up the rows a bit and enlarging the characters wouldn't be a problem. So if size is your beef, let me know so it can be changed, but don't mark me down for it or kittens will cry. Thanks again err'body :) |
