About my design

Each year, the Alphabet has a draft to determine who or what will represent their letters. This year, X-ray narrowly beat out Xylophone for the coveted 24th spot.

No way. I didn't know that. But I have seen X-Ray in a lot of ABC books. Is that true?

You're cute team_motherocean.

I like the concept a lot. Not sure about brown.

ha, love the brash use of color on this one, it really makes the characters pop out from the background. Really unique idea too, maybe to clear up the concept either have more contestants for the letter x on stage only or have a few letters winning on stage and the losers in the crowd watching? Or maybe just the winners of the three final letters on stage, and perhaps change the color of the zipper or move it a bit further away from the zebra, cause i really didn't know what it was for a few seconds. I really like this!

Thanks muchly. I could have used your help in the critiques.

As for having more contestants for the letter x on stage...that's what inspired me to do this design. X is always represented by x-ray of xylphone...I wondered how they decide which to use. I can't think of any other x words that could be used, that kids would be able to recognize.

I moved the other contestants around a few times, and I finally decided on this layout, but I can see why you wouldn't realize what the zipper was immediately. It was even more confusing when he was originally shaped like the letter Y.

And I thought about adding more winners, but I figured I already had a lot going on. It seems, you will either get the concept or you won't. And if you don't get it, all of the illustrating in the world is not going to make you get it...it will need to be explained.

Thanks again.

I think this is great. There are clearly two contestants per letter, and the remaining letters, Y and Z, are lined up to go next. Add other winners and this is to much. Don't change a thing.

I really like this ideia but i'd stick to having only one item per letter on stage and having them sequenced like a real contest...

i'd buy it after some improvements :)

I don't think this needs to be changed at all. The concept is brilliant. I understood it at first glance. This is great dude, I hope it prints for ya!

I've never heard of Mitch Hedberg. I of course googled him and see that he is a dead comedian. Did he do a routine about the alphabet or something, or do you just type random names as comments?

Dude the Xylophone should totally win. X-Ray is a cheater word because you don't really hear how the letter sounds.

I love where your mind has gone here, but I think it's a BIIIIIG concept to really adequately illustrate on a shirt and have people get it

$5 print and tee... this is wonderfully done, and frankly, the xylophone's expression makes it a better loser--the x-ray would just be sore.

I "got it" in under 2 seconds. Well done.

I would love to see it on different base colors!
