Very Chanukah-esque

Nice pun, but I don't think I'd get it without text...

Mmmm I dunno not a bad design, but I wouldn't rock it, sorry :(

This would be great if the title were actually on the shirt. Otherwise the connection is just too remote for most people to understand. (Great idea, though!)

I find this pretty hilarious! I think some interesting coloring (pink icing?) could take this even further.

I think most Canadians could figure it out after years of staring at bilingual food packaging

i'm french canadian and i had no idea ghetto blasters were referred to as gateaux?? not that it matters though, the image is neat enough on its own.

hmm...

cute idea but the execution is kind of plain, as far as the lack of color goes....clever, though!

This is awesome enough on its own. And if you have to explain it, well then it's a great ice breaker.

Yeah, it should absolutely be obscure...

But I wonder if the details of the radio should be more 'gloopy' lice they're more obviously made out of icing...?

i'd opt for color, but i am enjoying the simplicity

I dont think you need worry about the language barriers too much. Great idea. You could have cassette shaped buscuits too!

Looks good, maybe add the title in the shirt though.

Yeah, what other people have said, I would add the title (under the platter perhaps), Put a few colors in (maybe some blue and red for the gateaux and orange for the flames?). Maybe also move the image further down on the shirt.

So, so close. It really needs to have the title somewhere, otherwise the joke is just a little too obscure. Directly underneath the image in small, serif font (all lowcase) would be fine. Adjust the placement a little and you have yourself a wonderful design. Great concept.

I think it needs a little more work, and a little more colour. Very serious potential...the play on words is great!

I agree with electroleum, it needs a bit of pastel. maybe for the icing
