I'd rather see it without the paper background. It gives the drawing an awkward frame and the paper isn't needed to communicate your idea, the "pencil" lines do that already.

I actually think this is totally sweet HOWEVER your placement kills it
Possible resub ideas shown here: http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/8106/koikd4.gif and if you do like an all over koi thing, make each koi different, don't copy & paste like i just did and have those "blue waves" intertwine around and behind the fish |

yeah, I think the placement could be a bit sexier. and if you ever think about redoing it with a different typical tattoo, how about a merrrmaiiiid... ;-)
