How does these even adhere to the guidlines? You're supposed to illustrate the concept of democracy. Democracy is not some fuckin' puppet master pulling the strings of government.

I guess I should have left a bit of explanation on my design and why I did it. It is more of a statement of how the worst comes out of us all when we let the bad pull on the strings (with a focus more on the subject at had). This can be shown in a bit of vanity to some good old slander in attempts to sway votes in ways not dealing with much of the issues at hand. When our county was first born the first few were elected for what they had done with little reflection on their shortcomings…in order to makes one rose smell better than the other. John Adams own wife had a time distracting her husbands mind when slander fist came into the papers on him. So to make a long story short it was made to make people think deeper on whom they want to run the show? Will we let ourselves give into the leads of others or consciously decide with your own voice? Can we each tune out any little marketing gimmicks to petty slander and demand change from great people who can flow through on their words. I myself will be in line the first day.

In this political climate, this is the last thing we need to wear.

My boyfriend told me I should design a tshirt like this for the loves democracy competition... I sort of agreed with him that it would be a good idea, but just not for this competition. I knew people wouldn't like it since it doesn't give a positive representation of democracy or government and the way it works. Hence why I didn't design it. Sorry you did though.

I agree with your message; Though I think the religious/satanic reference was poor choice. Criticizing is good, people. It's the most patriotic thing you can do. Means you're paying attention. ;)

Love the concept personally. Even if you aren't American you can appreciate the truth in the degradation of American Democracy over time. Although, as a t-shirt, I would say less so.

From what I have seen in the past two elections, our form of democracy isn't working anyway. how does someone gain the presidency without the popular vote? And before you say "electoral college" why do we need an electoral college. that was a good idea in the days of the pony express, but now it is out dated. I love the art, but the horns should go, religion has no place in government. 2

Well, the Bible does says that Satan is "the god of this system of things", which is one reason some Christian groups don't vote. I have to say that I see this as more social commentary or symbolism than religious reference. However, it isn't what I was looking for in this contest. I would try submitting it elsewhere; I can see this getting printed. Just not on Threadless.

The concept is decent but the refinement in your illustration style isn't really there. And colour choice is bleh.

The concept seems true enough, the execution could use some work though. A great shirt to be worn when trying to escape FEMA concentration camps.
