oh goodness... what to say? 4 colors. on red, white, or silver grey. I thought it might be interesting to have the wing over the shoulder... but, it's completely fine taking up the back of the shirt. It may also be cool with puff ink on the black parts, as the shapes are pretty organic. Also, i know people don't like text and they don't like (generally) things on the back... hopefully this works for you. i send it off with good will and grand intentions for this democracy loves challenge...

i guess i kind of meant it to be about how often democracy is forced upon people... when that's not the point at all.

sorry if it didn't come across... but then i was also kind of thinking of the ani difranco lyric "watching capitalism gun down democracy"

and also, at first i was going to have a gun with the little flag that comes out of it and it would say democracy, but it totally turned into something different... whoa that's a lot of explanation.

Nice! Makes sense idea wise. I would dig seeing the bird on the same side as the gun though just to clear up any confusion.
