I would absolutely love this shirt if the illustration were a tad better, clean up those lines, and add in some shading...Some greys and browns could really make this a great shirt.

It might be a coincidence, but “girl with the bomb” is a famous street art image by a British artist who goes by the name Banksy.

Yes, my inspiration was from Banksy's work. My aim was not to copy his idea but to add more to it. If he finds that offensive, he can contact Threadless and get this taken out of the running.

Obviously not a direct copy, as it isn't quite as clean and the girl is in a different position. |
|
I love it. I actually like the blurred lines, it looks more like street art, and yes i am a HUGE fan of Banksy and this is similar, but I'd still buy this up. I like the placement...

a little too sloppy.
it's obviously a different girl... but is that all it takes to make a design your own? I don't really think so. |

thanks for the advice, NocturnalDaze
and Flippinheck, I apologize for making a cut towards you having not submitted anything here. That was out of line. |
|
Ah, just saw your apology. Thank you, and I'll apologise in return for hijacking your submission.
I'll go now. |

its a cliche banksy idea, sorry just being honest. keep trying. i like the "mommy can i keep it" title though, thats clever.

|
why doesn't Threadless catch any of the Banksy bights before sending them out for the masses to rip apart?
|

I agree with Norteaa about Bansky. There is a time and place for street art I personally think it isn't not on this tee shirt.
