I agree with takeabow07, if anything a dark color t-shirt would be far better than white (becareful you don't loose the needle in the color). The hands arn't bad but could be cleaned up. I think red may bot be the best color for the thread, perhaps a blue similar to the ocean, but that isn't as important as the t-shirt color.
Fun fact: ozone depletion is concentrated around the poles.
