Perhaps some little birds against the sky effect would be pretty on the back. It looks really beautiful and romantic on that colour tee. It would make a very beautiful print too.

The Characters and their contraptions are the best part of the shirt. They are done so well that the background doesn't belong, it's okay, but it is unecessary. The Back of the shirt is also highly unnecessary right now, it'll cost more money to print and purchase. If you want to go for such a large banded print you should utilize the space, like someone said a few birds or possibly another smaller character. I still feel that the characters on the front would stand alone magnificently!

i love it, the characters are great, i agree that you dont need the back. may i suggest making the city scape bigger, or take it out completely?

The cityscapse needs to stay as a reference, placing the characters in the air, so I vote bigger.

i agree with rogercoo. the back is unnecessary and the background doesn't help the main idea as much. I don't think you need the gradient in the background or the city. Actually, they pull the eye/focus down and away from your awesome characters. I also recommend moving the image up more. For flying characters, they are awfully close to the bottom which is probably why you felt you needed to add the city in the background.

The characters are nearly identical in style to Corpse Bride.

Minus the darker brooding colours and decaying flesh. Retains the curly thin line style though.
