This is an entry for Democracy its suppose to represent the collective power of 1 and how it takes all 5 digits in your hand to work together to form 1. It also represents how the future is in your hands & how you get to choose your representive.

Theres also a touch of tongue and check about the index character as the string which is obviously a reminder to vote can also be viewed as a bow tie which is formal and upperclass and lets face it a bit esentric! Gets my vote & hopefully yours too!

I like the style of the hand but it doesn't feel like the face of the finger and the style of the bow fit. I'd like it loads more if these two things were congruent with the over style.

I don't know if you need the little face in the finger. I dunno, at least the face needs a little somethin' somethin'

It's good but doesn't convey enough imagery to make me think of democracy though. Along the lines of the string/bowtie you may want to try adding a top hat with the colors of the American flag on it thereby making him look more eccentric.

this hand symbol is a frequent and overused one, as is the tie around the finger. it's just not that original.

Your description gives a lot of depth to the picture, but without it, I just think that it's a reminder--nothing really makes me thinking that it's related to voting.
