Getting this down to only 8 colors was a real challenge. All 50 states are represented.

Really cool!! I like how Wyoming stands out the most, but it could just be me.

i really like this too, but you can tell the plates where traced from a low res photo. otherwise this looks great!

I actually used the cutout filter in photoshop to simplify the layers on the plates to the point that you could still tell what states they were. I was trying to give it a done by hand look.

I like that with most of them, you can still guess pretty well what the state is and you even showed some of the interesting things on plates (like the Wright Brothers' plane for NC, etc)...

really cool idea ... though I'd really love it and buy it if it was on a VW mini bus van, "the classic hippie road trip vehicle" :) Something distinctly old, at least (and most old stuff I'm thinking of is skinny or not very distinct, hence the van winning in my immediate thoughts)

this was based on the old Jeep Wagoneer...the VW bus would be sweet too...I orginally worked on this for my son's room...I may try a VW bus to see how it looks.

Fabulous ... $5. I like this better than the airplane/tickets because I like roadtrips better than flying. Yeah they're similar concepts but still different. I'd love to see the concept on a VW bus too though.

Reminds me of Radiohead's "Hail to the Thief cover", but only in the farther away picture. Still, I'm not all that crazy about it to be honest, but keep with it.
