R.I.P. The Cassette

1963 - 2007

Compact cassettes could be frustrating at times; hissing, stretching or getting chewed up in tape decks. But while MP3s and downloads are the standard now, tapes played an important role in musical culture for more than 40 years.

I hated it when the tape came out / snapped like that!! nice design, would love it on other colors as well.

maybe if it said

RIP THE CASSETTE
1963-2007

then it would be okay, but i dont like the fact that it says old spool, i dont really get it.

Ethan3,
It's a play on words, instead of 'old skool.' The roll of tape inside the cassette is called a spool.

BALD CHILD: But I know the truth.
KEANU: What's that?
BALD CHILD: There is no spoon.
(It's hard to do movie quotes without being able to do the voices)

Hmmm... I can imagine it being hard to read unless the tape was shaped into some kind of font, but I wanted it to look like it had fallen into that shape.

Maybe if it said 'old spool' on the label of the cassette?

VERY hard to read what it's supposed to say.

I like the idea of it being written on the tape instead of being spelled out with the tape. Nice though :)

You've got a great idea but you need to make the letters stand out more.

I tried it with a sample audience and they read it fine...

Maybe if the tape spelled RIP, that would probably be bold enough to read.

Why on white? You could add more to the impact of the shirt if it was on a color. Also, ditto what FRICKINAWESOME said.
