I don't think this generation know the old saying. In fact the only reason i know about it is Roger Rabbit singing it to his doom in the movie! I like the well-illustrated simplicity of the idea, it just doesn't have the insane spark of many of the tees that are printed here. Still really nice design tho, good work!
at the end of a lot of songs, theres a little thing like du dada dudu, du du. its from an opra or something when the punchline to every joke was "a shave and a haircut, two bits" to theat same tune. (i learned that in music class)
I love it. I'd buy it just for the straight razor, truthfully. Mostly, I'm thankful the quarter doesn't have any photo on it, I'd hate to walk around with an American quarter on my shirt.

The funny thing is that EEEEVERYONE probably knows the tune, it's just hardly anyone born after 1908 knows the words. =)
ginetteginette
i knew what it was refering to but the quarter through me off. 25cents = two bits? what a loony world.
randicus
No, a loony is a Canadian dollar.
However, a two-ney is a different story altogether. Sorta.
ginetteginette
WRONG: that would be 'loonie'.
randicus
jeez, what a prude. your dad's a loonie.
Chengui
GG's got a point. I was also thrown by the quarter, but got the reference right away.....and I was born in 1984.
thedarrien

I didn't know it was a song.
Anymore it's just what many people use when they knock...
The musical representation is on that wiki page the artist posted.
Nice idea... I think you did it well... and I think it would give you that "I learned something today" feeling.
Mistymtn103
Yeah, I use it to knock, but I always knew the meaning as well...
lunchboxbrain
