Fighting computer viri in a cramped, neon-encrusted virtual world all day is a tough gig indeed, so the folks at WanderingBert/Frickinawesome Co. decided to give the guy a little time off to ride his lightcycle down to the beach for a nice game of frisbee catch. Remember, one needs to draw lines in the stand and relax from the lines of code every once in a while.

When I first saw Tron it was several years ago in a theater. The thing is, Kodak had cheap cinematic film, so Disney had a deal with them. The film turns pink with time. So I didn't know until later that everything un-neon was actually supposed to be black and white.

But anyway. Another $5 for you, duh.

Also, the shirt you linked to edg has a tron dude and a dog, while this idea is more about a tron guy chilling at the beach and takes its comedy from the ridiculousness of the natural environment against the digital nature of the tron folk. WanderingBert and I were pretty amazed we couldn't readily find an example of someone attempting an idea similiar to this before, and I don't think the one you posted makes it any different.

btw, i would never consider this a bite off ours. any drawing of tron is likely to include a Frisbee and if you are being funny… a dog is a natural.

The tron on that shirt is a disgusting degenerate old lech and I find looking at a dog's rear bits completely distasteful.

This shirt presents a young, kind-looking tron playing with his pet at the beach.

I'm not sure about the mud-flap girls, though... and i think the dog seems a bit contorted.

This is awesome. Doesn't have the same idea or feel as the other shirt linked above.

I rate submissions, and occasionally discuss shirts from other sites brought in as comparisons (clearly meant to be discussed, or why else the URL?), because I buy this stuff. I cannot judge the artist's overall prowess and do not claim that ability. I simply dislike the shirt at the other site.

Again, I say: Just as people can post their designs freely on the IntarWebs, so too can viewers state opinions about them. DUH.

mgrodzki, based on your comment, it seems to me the only reason you are so indignant over this whole thing is your relationship with the other artist.

I like this one a lot, and my score shows it. I don't like the other one, but that's okay, since I am not required to purchase it.
