It's a nice design, but has a bit much going on. I'd like to see this as just the sloth in tree, sans other animals and voting theme, in the regular submissions category.

absolutely love it, and the colors are perfect! i hope you're one of the winners! though i do agree with some other people here; wtf are you doing deer, voting for no trees?! ah well, to each his own i guess. that's the spirit of democracy to me lol.

It seems like the squirrel and deer votes should be switched, because squirrels have every reason to loooove edible human flotsam, and deer have to flee us. ;)

gumbolimbo on Jul 30 '08 For those who wonder why the deer voted for a roof over its head rather than trees.... well, that's what happens in real life too, doesn't it?
There's no way to look inside of the voters heads and know what they'll vote for, and also it's risky to assume one less vote doesn't matter because the outcome is decided in advance (because you might be surprised). So I chose a deer for the yellow team to add a bit of friction, to add possibly an extra layer to the story and interpretation. (And because deer are fun to draw, that too :) Thanks for all your votes and comments! |
