Nothing clever, nothing funny, but since this is meant to be for ThreadlessKids, I assume the constituents of the target market will neither question the humor or purpose of the design like those of you with more discerning intellect. Moreover, they will not even be concerned if they spill grape drink over it, or spit up cheerios and macaroni on it.

Hopefully it's cute, and the kids might like a Panda... Ride that Kung Fu Panda wave as long as possible...
