This is nicely done - although I'd like to see more symmetry in the layout - perhaps even a hand-drawn text. Also - it's useless saying that this was on myspace a month earlier. It's usually down to who puts an idea in the public domain first - and even then, people constantly think up identical concepts independently of each other.

"Seems like this comic from 2000 is the first instance of the zombie/grains idea."
Good find, I was going to post that myself. I actually own the domain veganzombie.com that I registered back in 2003. It used to just be a page that said "graaaaaiiinnnsss" for the longest time. Been trying to figure out what to do with it for years :P
what about if you took off vegan zombie?
i think the character alone stands strong enough to do without the type. the type seems to just make the shirt say "vegan zombie" twice. When the character sums it up all on its own, with the speech bubble of course

I think it would need to be bigger on the shirt, maybe shifted down and left and enlarged, but otherwise it's a fun, well-done image.

Great concept! Too bad Ray Frenden came up with it in 2007

Ray Frenden's image was uploaded to flicker in Novemeber 2007. This image was online myspace a month before that.
Ray Frenden
Hey, Dennis.
Benefit of the doubt and all that. The three major elements are pretty similar. Was my image an influence?

Seems like this comic from 2000 is the first instance of the zombie/grains idea.

Anyhow, I'd buy the shirt definitely.
Ray Frenden
Talked to Dennis; stand up fellow. I think we just have similar sensibilities.
dennisculver
Sorry internet, no fight here. Ray and I worked it out and possibly we were separated at birth.
Hobbz
Love it! I would suggest changing "Grainnns!" to "Graaains!". Seems like the emphasis should be on the "A".
I'd still buy it!

Whatchu talkin' about? Shopping is dead easy.
Printing a poster from a 72dpi image isn't as badass as you think it is.

I would by at least 2 of these and possibly more! Doesn't matter where the idea came from, getting it on a T-Shirt is the important part!
rdmaloy
oh i want this.
mangus
If it didn't actually _say vegan zombie on it, I would buy it for sure!
littleoracle
totally agree with the folk above.
i'd make it graaaaaains as well and take off the words and shift it down and to the side a bit.
design and concept is awesome and i would totally buy it.
littleoracle
sorry, just thought of this too: the zombie's tshirt could say 'go vegan' or something on it.
kilon828
Great.
dennisculver
Thanks for all the kinds words and feedback so far!
magaly
i'd remove the text and insinuate the zombie is a vegan using the space on his tee-shirt.
