I think the placement is fine. They are on a drawer thats probably up off the ground, so floating in the center feels right to me.

I think the pun possibly comes from the fact the saying is "I wouldn't be caught dead wearing it" ...but since they omitted it... it's somehow a pun?
I'd think it'd be more of a pun if they left it in, but, ya know, who am I to say? |

I hadn't thought about it before, but surely the phrase should be "'Til death do we part." The first person plural pronoun is the subject of the clause, not the object. The implication is that we will honor and obey and blah, blah blah until our deaths, upon which event we shall part. "Us" is the object form of the pronoun, and for its use to be proper here, "death" would have to be the subject; so it would have to be phrased "'Til death does us part" or simply "'Til death parts us."
