About my design

by mikrosopht
many possible ink/shirt color combinations here - a close approximation of the final shirt, in addition every "shape" on the shirt will be unique aka no repeats.

when/if the design is reprinted i will create a brand new set of shapes, making each edition an "original"!

belt printed.

I loved spiro as a kid! I like it on red with the print all over the shirt.

hi Tesco i like your designs thanks for stopping by. i would say the color scheme is great as Sine recommends as well (thanks! its one of my favorites too), and the all-over print will be fantastic in real life. its good to keep in mind this is a flat representation of a three dimensional piece, so yes the rectangular detail looks great, but this unique pattern configuration will be fresh as hell on the actual threadless shirts when you're walking down the block.

thanks dante!

hey rainbow! thanks keeping an eye on my designs!

tesco you're certainly entitled to your opinion, as i am to my design style. if you must, i am all for you cutting my baby up into neat 3x4 rectangular sets of hypotrochoids, giving you at least enough "patches" to make three simplified shirts. enjoy! (seriously, if you or anyone else does this, post photos for us to see! thatd be awesome. threadless patches!!)

in other news, i would be happy to make any/all variety of sets of patterns with this basic design, including the black on red i have as a detail above. perhaps after this we can play with different sets of shapes and matrices for all the different tee-types. there are many possibilities here, and each could be unique to its type, size, color.. it all depends on what Threadless & the printers deem possible. (i hope) we'll see!

rock on

Oh yeah- number 3!
mikrosopht
mikrosopht on Jul 14 '08
cool. 3 would make a nice Girly tee, though i think theyre all basically unisex (depending a bit on placement!)
chrunk
chrunk on Jul 15 '08
you could do one for the ladies with just two spirals over the nipple area, and the rest of the T-shirt transparent

fivekingdoms on Jul 15 '08
with tesco and FRICKINAWESOME - I think the simple grid layout works best.

mikrosopht on Jul 16 '08
haha

chrunk i dont think they have those specialty threads - yet!

for everyone who likes the black on red, please head to the placement blog and let us know if you want it large (tesco style) or as i have it in placement example 1. thanks!
