It's OK, eveheartspleens, "hug a radioactive rat zombie today," though I do get what your trying to say about the presentation of it..... i was going to say i almost expected it to be something with glow-in-the-dark shtuff on it where it's green, but sombie makes sense... also at first glance it reminded me of 'The Secret of Nimh,' obviously because of the rodent imagery, but more so something about the look on it's face, and the glowing eerie-ness about it.

I think if you just had him stumbling across the road without the day glow, (radioactive color and a rat = a different story), it might have been better.
