About my design

by impact561
Full color print and tee simulated process. The smoke is only shades different then the shirt color. This is achieved by shifting the color by 3 shades and adding a coat of clear to the smoke area. Clear over the rocket also gives the shape and color some life adding a touch of sheen to the overall look of the image.

Thank you to every one who helped with the critique of this image.

Please show me where I was comment spamming, I dont even know you. If you red a comment directing you here it was on one of my blogs, or the blog of a friend or one of the blogs of the people who helped critique my submission.

I have a little more sense then that.

I'm not so rude as that ether.

Thank you for voting.

Thanks for the lessons in manors.

I would like to humbly thank you for invalidating a solid piece of work and sabotaging any chance at printing.

In the future why don't you spend your time designing something of your own, or just maybe you can burn out a few braincells coming up with a better slogan then "Beans Beans The Magical Fru.... Oh That is Going to Smell"

Hey you did the same to someone else

As I said, these comments are left on pages where a previous relationship had been established.

That's really not a valid excuse. I've made friends here over the past months and still I don't go leave links on their subs to vote on mine. I blog about my subs and they can vote if they choose to.

I would like to humbly thank you for invalidating a solid piece of work and sabotaging any chance at printing.

That's not accurate at all, the vast majority of the voters don't even read comments so I assure you this will have little to no impact on your final score.

Ad I think that was completely unnecessary, he didn't leave any kind of offensive comments.

Come on that was a low blow. I didn’t rip on your sub. I just directed you to a critique I thought would help you out.

Your right about my last comment, it was low. Really Though It's as if I'm hanging around the school yard. I don't see why you all should concern yourselves with my commenting. If I commented on you Critique then I might understand the problem, but the thing is I didn't.

You however Phiffer did leave a link on my design and that I feel was extremely rude

It is true that the threadless team does read the comments particularly when the design is in the running for being printed. Who would print a design surrounded in such debauchery

calm yourself. worse comments have been made on shirts that have been printed.

fact.

also, before you submit again, get to understand the community here. look at how alumni act and promote their submissions-- see fatheed or daniellesgarden for examples-- they post blogs and bump them when needed. they are also active in the community, comment on other people's blogs and submissions without mentioning their's at all, and in general that makes people want to comment on their's (besides them both being awesome artists/people.)

using the critiques as a model of how to act and communicate in this venue is not going to get you any where. instead look at the way the regulars act and make some friends.

and just because you are buddies doesn't mean you should spam. someone else's submission is a place for them to receive comments on their art, not for you to piggyback on them.

If Threadless truly desires to print a design they won't care much about comments like these.

And blogging does help a bit with exposure, but great designs will get good comments even without it.

I gave you $5 for vikings as well as $5 for Identity Crisis.

I also critiqued Identity Crisis and participate positively in the community offering critiques and participating in blogs all the time.

I sent a reminder to those who wanted to know when the design was listed.

Not fucking random people!

If it's such a fucking problem why doesn't threadless institute an instant messaging and friend request system.

With no other way to communicate with the people you have developed relationships with what are you left with.

It's obvious - Their Blogs.

Hey man, no need to take it like that, it's not personal, we don't have anything against you. I assure you if someone else posted their link on this sub and someone saw it they would have posted in his sub the critique Phiffer posted.

We try to look out for each other here, there's no need to get defensive or angry, just learn from this experience and try to help other newcomers in the future. If you stay here long enough you'll see what we're talking about.

I hope this experience doesn't make you hate Threadless in general and makes you want to leave. No hard feelings I hope.

If someone did it to you trust me I would have been all over it. I not going after you. I was going after anyone who did it. It takes away from the sub. Just like it is here.

Okay, well I do find this beratement somewhat discouraging.

I worked on this design for over a month, 200 hours 12 revisions and many cold cups of coffee because I believed in it.

During that time in critique there were people who expressed an interest in having me tell them when It was posted.

and to be honest I'm over the conversation.

It is safe to say that I have learned my lesson.

now get off my Sub and drop it.

Thank you.,
