yea I was originally thinking about doing something like that, I know that the mate eats the other... but I thought that if I had it this way then it's sorta ironic in a way.

Colours are kindof gross, but idea/execution rocks, and totally makes up for it. If it were printed, I would use a colour more complementary with the red.

Female Mantids definitely eat male mantids before/while/after mating with them.

yea I was sort of puzzled on what colors to use for this design... but the worst thing that would happen is that they would be changed... it only takes a few seconds to change color. and the female eats the male after she gets what she wants :)
