I like the sketchy quality of the drawings, it really sets this design apart from other monster shirts. It almost has an Edward Gorey feel to... except much more colorful. It's probably the wide spaced circle eyes.



I think you should keep it on white for many reasons. Most importantly because the sketchy spaces between lines will be lost with a colored shirt, it'll just look worn if printed on black. Also if printed on a colored tee, no matter what color you're going to have to change the colors of your creatures because you have so many colors represented there.



The only way you will be able to print it on a colored shirt is if you limit your palette – lessen the number of colors used on the monsters – to maybe about 3-4 instead of 8. Or limit them to a color spectrum of for example greens and blues. Or reds, pinks and purples. And then print it on a shirt that is a complimentary color to one of the colors of your monsters... If you do this, I suggest darker monster colors and a light t-shirt color so that you can best see the sketchy lines.



As for the text, I love the type style.. and wasn't crazy about the actual words... but it's grown on me.
