lose the color. Simplify and just do the shadows of the axe. Good design though. Lots of potential. Keep up the good work

I agree with above. No color needed except maybe a bit of lamp glow. Go with the shadow and the lamp. Very Film Noir. You definitely don't need any text, takes away from the cool design!

The blended red on the hand is strange

I really like this a lot but it needs a bit more work - the shadow wouldn't be there, with the hatchet where it is, but since the arm and hatchet are lit up, I'm assuming another light source down to the left ...but then the lantern and its arm would be casting a sharp shadow (like the hatchet's one).

Basically, I agree with above, lose the text, and the coloured hatchet and arm - it's strong enough without them.
(I'd use the coloured hatchet and arm in another sub...they look great...just not in this one!)

All the best.

its nice but the first thing i saw was the hand is in the wrong place. it would not put a shadow on the wall like that in its current placement. put the hand behind the light.

Jeebus you people are picky. Who cares about the shadow? The design works (although I think it would look good w/out color too).

If you were to critique Guernica, you'd say that Picasso's perspective was screwy and that the people and animals should be drawn better. Sheesh.
