I've been waiting on this one, ever since I saw the sketches.
This is a beautiful design. Love the color palette, the perspective is unbelievably perfect, and the meaning in the artwork is wonderful. The destroyed town, one girl, with one light, one book, one cat... a sense of these being the inhabitants of a dying planet or something. I love the 'stain' of the 'S' in gas after having been on the sign for so long. $5, this should be a $10 |

hmmm it seems almost like the girl is reading about some long-forgotten town and the images are from her mind. i don't know if that was the intent or not, but it is interesting.

JW on Jun 17 '08 Valorandvellum: I spent ages trying to come up with a solution to the skyline, a gradient didnt work neither did halftone, the background is already quite detailed so using a masking effect (like with trees, clouds etc) just made it too confusing, i guess there comes a time when you just have to move on, but its def the thing im most dissappointed with :(
FA: Could prob write a load of pretentious bollocks about this but it'd be so boring no-one would get round to voting hehe :) |

I think the illustration is great. The layout and aspect of the design are very appealing. However, I don't know if I would like it on a tee shirt. great artwork and thought.

this is pretty wicked. i love the texture in everything.
the only negative thing i will say is that the halftone on the light beam clashes with your awesome sketchy, expressive lines. maybe make the dots a tad smaller? but i'm being nit-picky. it's still badass. |

Probably not your intent but with the day lit clouds in the arc shape, I get the sense that she's set up house in a conduit or water pipe of some kind. I'm hitting print as well as shirt on this one, I'm really into apocalyptic narratives. $5
