 Thanks to everyone for the help during the critique. This is a design on the Aesop Fable. The winning tortoise invites the hare back to his abode for a bit of his finest brandy to celebrate a tremendous race.

Yeah, during my critique session for this image, the similarity of Enmity Gardens was pointed out to me. I was pretty bummed out when i saw it, but the themes within the themes are diffferent (this one boasts the turtle winning, the other does not suggest anyone has one the race yet). Either way, the styles are very different, and although I became aware of the shirt, i decided this is unique enough to submit anyway. Cheers friends.

but... the turtle is smoking a pipe. that has to be the coolest thing ever! its a similar CONCEPT but the design and style is very different

I love it! 55555$$$$$$$$ I definitely prefer this one over enmity gardens. It has a totally different idea and style. It looks very original. I hope it wins!

Yeah, it was actually a decision i made not to put in the tail on the rabbit. When i originally made the characters, they both had their tails, but both of them looked a little odd and out of place. I decided to simply get rid of the tails. I figured the point is made whith their facial features as to who they are, and I didn't want the odd tails to take away from the elegance of their attire. But it was a noticable thing to point out.

Man.....I HATE that thatoneguyjames. You think of something COMPLETELY on your own, and you're all proud of yourself, and then someone says, "Um.....you totally copied that." or "Where is that from, I've heard it before." Someone just HAPPENED to put something out there like your idea before you did. That's the worst. I love this though, definitely deserves a $5!

Frankly one tortoise and hare in front of the trophy on top of the fireplace design on a blue shirt is too many, a second would just not do.

I give it a five, because it makes me jive. Very effective stylization, but trophy needs some gleam. Also, take this tip: Background texture looks to comp-generated, and please print same color as foreground.
